Amends the Gas Use Tax Law to impose no tax on or after January 1, 2013, effectively ending the tax that had been imposed since October 1, 2003.

Amends the Gas Revenue Tax Act to impose no tax on or after January 1, 2013, ending the occupation tax on persons engaged in distributing, supplying, furnishing or selling gas.

Both taxes previously imposed at the rate of 2.4 cents per therm or 5% of purchase price/gross receipts, whichever was lower.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
