Exempts persons age 70 or older from having to reapply annually for Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze Homestead Exemption or Senior Citizens Homestead Exemption if they qualified in the previous taxable year.

Amends Section 15-170 of the Property Tax Code to provide automatic exemption renewal for seniors turning 70 during the taxable year who qualified for exemption the prior year.

Amends Section 15-172 of the Property Tax Code with identical automatic renewal provision for Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze Homestead Exemption applicants age 70 and older.

Applies to both counties with 3,000,000 or more inhabitants and counties with fewer than 3,000,000 inhabitants.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
