HB5802 Summary

• Amends the Illinois Enterprise Zone Act to authorize an additional 50 enterprise zones to be certified by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity beginning in calendar year 2012 through December 31, 2016.

• Maintains existing limitations that the Department may not certify more than 3 zones within the same municipality or more than 18 zones total within the same county.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage.
