• Requires written, signed, and verified notice of workplace accidents be given to employers within 45 days of the accident.

• Establishes that for repetitive trauma or cumulative trauma injuries, notice must be given within 45 days of when the condition manifests itself, defined as when an employee develops symptoms that should be apparent to a prudent layperson as work-related.

• Eliminates the requirement that defects in accident notices bar proceedings unless the employee knowingly and willfully provided inaccurate information or lacked good cause for the failure.

• Specifies that accident notices must inform the employer of the approximate date, approximate time, and location of where and how the accident occurred.

• Contains existing provisions regarding employer posting of workers' compensation information, maintenance of injury records, notification of rehabilitation services, and presumptions for firefighters and emergency medical personnel.
