HB6186 Summary

• Amends the Department of Central Management Services Law to require state agencies to be charged for workers' compensation medical expenses and temporary total disability benefits paid to employees.

• Expands the current charging mechanism (previously limited to temporary total disability after 120 days) to include medical expenses in addition to disability benefits.

• Removes the previous requirement that an employee must receive 120 days of temporary total disability payments and have physician release before the employing agency is charged.

• Deposits all reimbursements into the Workers' Compensation Revolving Fund to pay medical and temporary total disability claims for state employees and university employees.

• Authorizes the Director to promulgate administrative rules necessary to establish and administer the workers' compensation charging plan.
