IL HB6215

Amends the Illinois Grant Funds Recovery Act to terminate all discretionary grant programs for renewable energy, green initiatives, or environmental safety administered by the Environmental Protection Agency or Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

Requires the Comptroller to order and the Treasurer to transfer all amounts designated for grants under these programs from special funds into the General Revenue Fund.

Defines "discretionary grant program" as any program giving the administering agency discretion over grant fund distribution.

Specifies covered program purposes including clean lakes enforcement, electric efficiency, electric vehicle development, food scrap composting, green fleets, green infrastructure, green manufacturing, green roofs, pollution control, recycling, and thermal efficiency for public facilities.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
