IL HB6233

Amends the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois to require state departments to accept military education, training, or experience toward professional and occupational licensure for service members if substantially similar to requirements.

Defines "service member" as an active duty member of the U.S. Armed Forces, reserve component, National Guard, or person who completed active duty service within the preceding 2 years.

Requires applicants to submit proof of service member status and that the license or certification is related to their military occupational specialty (MOS).

Authorizes state departments to adopt rules for implementing this Section and to set reasonable fees for administration.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
