Exempts mayors who are board members of investor-owned public service corporations from the prohibition on municipal officers having interests in contracts with public utilities under 65 ILCS 5/4-8-6.

Exempts mayors who are board members of investor-owned public service corporations from the restriction on requesting, accepting, or receiving services or employment from public utility owners under 65 ILCS 5/4-8-6a.

Clarifies that board membership in an investor-owned public service corporation does not constitute being an "official" of a public service corporation for purposes of the prohibition under 65 ILCS 5/4-8-7.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
