IL HB6247

Amends the High Blood Pressure Control Act by adding Section 7.5 concerning blood pressure monitoring equipment.

Requires the Department of Public Health to adopt rules mandating that State-owned facilities, elementary and secondary public school buildings or campuses, and public institutions of higher learning maintain onsite blood pressure monitoring equipment.

Requires each covered facility to designate at least one trained individual responsible for operating the blood pressure monitoring equipment.

Directs the Department of Public Health to establish training programs for individuals to learn proper use of blood pressure monitoring equipment.
