Department of Public Health must adopt rules requiring breakfast cereal companies with recalled products within 10 years prior to the law's effective date to file annual documentation for 5 years.

Documentation must assert that all manufacturing equipment used to produce the company's cereal complies with applicable rules and regulations and is free from contaminating metals.

Companies knowingly failing to comply face business offense penalties of $100,000 per day if they have annual gross revenue of $50 million or more, or $10,000 per day if revenue is less than $50 million.
