Highlights that Illinois has not provided dedicated funding for gifted and talented education to local school districts since 2003 and currently lacks accountability mechanisms for these services.

Requests that members of the Illinois congressional delegation become co-sponsors of the Talent Act legislation and directs delivery of the resolution to U.S. congressional leadership.
