Proclaims May as Motorcycle Awareness Month in Illinois in recognition of over 610,000 registered motorcyclists statewide and the 26-year history of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois, Inc.

Recognizes A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois for promoting motorcycle safety, education, and awareness through high school driver education programs and presentations to over 100,000 participants over the past 5 years.

Acknowledges motorcycles as an economical means of transportation that reduces fuel consumption, road wear, traffic congestion, and parking congestion.

Calls for all roadway users to unite in safe sharing of roads during May and encourages motorcyclists to actively promote safe motorcycle operation and safety awareness.

Directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois as a symbol of esteem and respect.
