Designates May 23, 2011 as "Mt. Pulaski High School Teens Drive Safe Day" in Illinois to promote awareness of safe teen driving practices.

Acknowledges that car accidents are the leading cause of death for 16 to 19-year-olds, with nearly one in five teen drivers in fatal crashes reported as distracted in a 2011 study by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and State Farm Insurance.

Notes that teen driver and peer passenger deaths account for one quarter of total teen deaths annually in the United States, and identifies speeding, alcohol use, texting, and peer distractions as key risk factors.

Mt. Pulaski High School will hold a student assembly featuring State Farm Agent Deron Powell and Miss Illinois 2010 Whitney Thorpe-Klinsky to educate students about distracted driving dangers.

Directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to Mt. Pulaski High School as a symbol of esteem and respect.
