IL HR0795

Directs the Auditor General to audit the five state retirement systems (Teachers', State Universities, State Employees', Judges, and General Assembly) to examine whether participants are earning service credit for private sector employment.

Five state retirement systems are currently only 43.3% funded with $83 billion in unfunded liability, with concerns about private sector employees improperly receiving pension credit.

Requires all five retirement systems and related entities to fully cooperate with the Auditor General's office during the audit process.

Mandates the Auditor General commence the audit as soon as possible and report findings and recommendations in accordance with Section 3-14 of the Illinois State Auditing Act.

Requires copies of the resolution be delivered to the Auditor General and the boards of all five retirement systems upon passage.
