Creates the Illinois Task Force on Gang Violence to study and analyze the recent increase in street gang violence in Illinois, with findings due by January 1, 2013.

Task Force comprises 8 members appointed by legislative leaders and law enforcement agencies: 2 House representatives each from Speaker and Minority Leader, Cook County State's Attorney representative, downstate State's Attorney representative, Illinois State Police representative, Chicago Police Department representative, Cook County Sheriff representative, and downstate Sheriff representative.

Speaker and Minority Leader each designate one representative to serve as co-chairs of the Task Force, with all members serving without compensation.

Illinois State Police provides administrative and support services to the Task Force.

Task Force shall conduct subject matter hearings with testimony from individuals knowledgeable about gang violence and issue a public report with findings and recommendations to combat street gang violence.
