Congratulates Joseph Berenyi for his 2012 Paralympic success in London, England, and his accomplishments as a member of the United States Paralympic Team.

Berenyi, born December 11, 1968, in Aurora, lost his right arm and left kneecap in a construction accident 18 years prior but overcame his injuries through cycling and competition.

Earned a gold medal in the 3-kilometer individual pursuit cycling race with a time of 3:37.912 and set a world record in qualifying with a time of 3:36.148.

Also earned a silver medal in the Men's Individual C3 Time Trial Finals and a bronze medal in the Mixed C1 to 5 Team Sprint Finals, plus placed 6th in the Men's Individual C-1-3 Road Race Finals.

Directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to Berenyi as a symbol of esteem and respect.
