Congratulates Dr. Reid Sutton for receiving the 2012 Rural Physician of Excellence Award from the Illinois Rural Health Association

Recognizes Dr. Sutton's 35 years of service to Edgar County residents beginning in 1977 at Paris Community Hospital/Family Medical Center, where he currently serves as Medical Director and Chief of Medical Staff

Acknowledges his roles as collaborating physician for advanced practice nurses and supervising physician for physician assistants to provide weekend care, as well as his work as the only certified Medical Review Officer in his community

Commends his service as medical director at multiple assisted living centers and nursing homes, and his volunteer work at the Austin Home for developmentally disabled adults and local caregiver support groups on dementia and Alzheimer's disease

Directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to Dr. Sutton as a symbol of respect and esteem for his contributions to rural health care
