Congratulates Ron Schweizer on his retirement as President of the Elwood Fire Protection District Board in July 2012.

Recognizes Schweizer's 52-year service with the Elwood Fire Department, beginning as a volunteer firefighter in 1960 at age 18 and advancing to the rank of captain.

Acknowledges his contributions as a trustee of the Elwood Fire Protection District Board since 1972, including bringing full-time paramedics and firefighters to Elwood in 1994 and overseeing construction of a new fire station completed in 1997.

Directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to Schweizer as a symbol of the House's esteem and respect.
