Commends Senior Master Sergeant Rebecca Gabel for receiving the 2012 Most Innovative Blood Drive Coordinator Award from the Illinois Coalition of Community Blood Centers

Recognizes SMSgt Gabel's coordination of 15 consecutive monthly blood drives at Scott Air Force Base beginning in June 2011, collecting nearly 500 units of blood in 15 months

Acknowledges Gabel's innovative approach of rotating the donor bus among 5 different base locations and coordinating with entire base personnel despite challenges of military deployments and security requirements

Notes that in April 2012, Gabel successfully advocated for adoption of blood drives as a major project of the Air Force Sergeants Association to ensure continuity beyond her tenure

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to SMSgt Gabel as a symbol of respect and esteem for her service to the community
