Designates October 2012 as "Dwarfism Awareness Month" in Illinois to raise public awareness about people with dwarfism and the Little People of America organization.

Recognizes that approximately 3,500 people with dwarfism reside in Illinois, with over 200 distinct types of dwarfism existing, the most common being achondroplasia.

Notes that people with dwarfism have average intelligence, can function fully in society with reasonable accommodations, and contribute to the workforce across all professions.

Acknowledges the Little People of America (LPA) as the nation's oldest and largest dwarfism support organization, celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2012 and providing services including educational scholarships, medical access, peer support, and advocacy.

Establishes preferred terminology for individuals with dwarfism as "short stature," "having dwarfism," "little person," or "dwarf," while identifying "midget" as an antiquated and offensive term.
