Illinois House of Representatives congratulates Laurel Hill School on its 50th anniversary celebration scheduled for October 20, 2012.

Laurel Hill School was founded in 1962 and serves 500 students in 21 classrooms from Kindergarten through 6th grade in Elgin School District No. 46.

School implements Positive Behaviors and Interventions Systems (PBIS) and prepares students for college and career readiness standards with commitment from staff and families.

School operates as a neighborhood institution with close community affiliations including the YWCA, Hanover Township, Greater Elgin Health Clinic, Christ Presbyterian Church, and Crossroads Church.

Patricia Stubbs serves as principal of Laurel Hill School.
