Congratulates Congregation Kneseth Israel on the occasion of its 120th anniversary of founding in 1892.

Notes that the congregation was originally organized by Jewish citizens of Elgin as Congregation Tifereth Israel and later merged with another local group to become Congregation Kneseth Israel.

Recognizes the congregation's growth to over 200 families and its contributions to civic, cultural, educational, medical, commercial, legal, and emotional well-being of Elgin and surrounding communities.

Acknowledges the congregation's continued service to the Jewish population throughout the Fox River Valley and the counties of Kane, McHenry, DuPage, DeKalb, and northwest Cook.

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Congregation Kneseth Israel as an expression of esteem and respect.
