Illinois House of Representatives congratulates Resurrection House Baptist Church on the dedication of its new building located at 245 East 138th Street in Dolton, with dedication service scheduled for November 18, 2012

Church began with 13 members meeting for Bible study at Resurrection House Inc., a non-profit residential facility for women, and grew to 241 members within 2 years after opening first worship service on July 5, 2009

Church established multiple ministries including "Generation Next" youth ministry serving over 75 youth, "Women on Fire for Christ," "Men Resurrecting Men," and "Atmosphere Changers For Christ" for young adults

Illinois House recognizes the congregation as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the state

A suitable copy of the resolution will be presented to the church as a symbol of esteem and respect
