Illinois House of Representatives congratulates Gower Middle School in Burr Ridge on being named a 2012 Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools with very high student performance or significant improvements in academic achievement.

Gower Middle School's achievement will be celebrated at the 30th anniversary National Blue Ribbon Schools awards ceremony on November 12-13, 2012, in Washington, D.C.

Principal Tracy Murphy leads Gower Middle School.
