Congratulates Rev. Derrius Colvin Sr. and the congregation of the First Progressive Church of Christ in Chicago on their 60th anniversary.

Documents the church's history beginning in February 1954 when property was purchased at 7257-59 South Wabash and 60 East 73rd Street, including a $50,000 building addition in 1959 and mortgage burning in 1967.

Recognizes the leadership of successive pastors including Bishop J.M. Heywood, Rev. Charles Snipes, Rev. Bennett Wolfe, and Rev. Fred L. Dade, along with the ordination of multiple ministers and deacons over the decades.

Acknowledges that under Rev. Derrius Colvin Sr.'s leadership since April 2003, the church has experienced spiritual, numerical, and financial progress, including formation of the Evangelism Ministry.

Directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to the congregation as a symbol of the House's esteem and respect.
