IL SB0120

Requires the Board of Trustees at the University of Illinois to establish an Office of Advising for First Generation College Students to serve students who are the first in their family to attend higher education.

Requires the governing boards of Southern Illinois University, Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, and Western Illinois University to each establish an Office of Advising for First Generation College Students.

Requires each community college district board to establish an Office of Advising for First Generation College Students to serve community college students who are first-generation college attendees.

Applies to all public universities and community college districts in Illinois.
