• Defines "investigative data" as the identity of individuals, non-public data on individuals, and all data collected during active investigations.

• Establishes procedures for the alleged violator to submit written responses, request meetings, and propose Compliance Commitment Agreements before formal legal action is pursued.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
