Amends Section 6 of the Mechanics Lien Act to modify the timeframe for obtaining a lien when work extends beyond three years.

Eliminates the requirement to specify completion or payment dates in contracts to obtain a mechanics lien, provided work or material is furnished within three years from commencement.

Allows a lien to be obtained within one year after work is completed or material is fully furnished if the work or material provision extends beyond the initial three-year period.

Changes the lien filing deadline from a single three-year window to a two-stage system: three years from commencement, or one year from final completion if work extends longer.
