SB2319 Amendment Summary

• Amends Public Act 96-956 to appropriate additional funding to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services for medical assistance, including $2.888 billion payable from the Healthcare Provider Relief Fund (increased from $1.5 billion) and funds from Care Provider, Long-Term Care Provider, Hospital Provider, and Tobacco Settlement Recovery Funds

• Allocates $243.399 million for development, implementation, and operation of Integrated Care Management, including operating and administrative costs

• Makes conditional amendments to House Bill 2168 (Department of Corrections) and House Bill 3700 (State Universities Civil Service System) that take effect only if those bills become law, updating fiscal year references from 2011 to 2012

• Amendment also includes conditional language for Department of Juvenile Justice appropriations contingent on House Bill 2168 becoming law

• Takes effect July 1, 2011, except Article 0.5 takes effect upon becoming law
