IL SB2574

Removes requirement to notify the Department of Healthcare and Family Services when a nursing home resident's care is paid through Title XIX (Medicaid) in the Nursing Home Care Act and ID/DD Community Care Act.

Notice of resident changes must still be transmitted to the Department of Public Health, the resident, and the resident's representative, but no longer requires separate notification to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services.

Eliminates the definition of "exceptional medical care" from the Illinois Public Aid Code Section 5-1.1.

Repeals Sections 12-10.8 and 12-10.9 of the Illinois Public Aid Code.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
