• Limits dentist supervision of dental assistants to no more than 4 assistants at any one time for placing, carving, and finishing amalgam restorations.

• Limits dentist supervision of dental assistants to no more than 4 assistants at any one time for monitoring nitrous oxide administration.

• Limits dentist supervision of dental assistants to no more than 4 assistants at any one time for performing coronal polishing or pit and fissure sealants.

• Allows dental assistants to perform pit and fissure sealants if they have successfully completed a Department-approved training program.
