IL SB3323

Requires governing boards of governmental units, county boards, township boards, and municipal corporate authorities to review annual audit reports and financial reports prior to submission to the Comptroller.

Mandates reporting of any suspected criminal activity or fraud discovered in audit reports to the State's Attorney's office of the county or counties where the governmental unit is located.

Applies to all entities subject to the Governmental Account Audit Act, Counties Code, Township Code, and Illinois Municipal Code audit requirements.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
