IL SB3361

Amends the Sex Offender Management Board Act by making a technical change to Section 15 regarding the creation and duties of the Sex Offender Management Board.

Changes the word "created" in subsection (a) from appearing twice to appearing once, correcting duplicate language in the statute.

Maintains the Sex Offender Management Board's composition of 20 members representing various state agencies, law enforcement, judiciary, mental health professionals, prosecutors, and sexual assault victim advocates.

Preserves all existing duties of the Board including developing standardized evaluation procedures, creating treatment guidelines for juvenile and adult sex offenders, establishing a fund for operations, and researching program effectiveness.

Provides immunity from civil and criminal liability for the Board and its members acting in good faith performance of their statutory duties.
