IL SB3369

Establishes June 1, 2012 as a deadline for nominating persons to receive General Assembly scholarships, after which no new nominations or awards may be made under Sections 30-9 through 30-12 of the School Code.

Prevents second nominations for any lapsed General Assembly scholarship after June 1, 2012, with such scholarships deemed to lapse by operation of law if not nominated by that date.

Prohibits nominations to unused or unexpired portions of vacated scholarships after June 1, 2012, making any such nominations invalid and causing those scholarship portions to lapse automatically.

Allows all previously valid nominations made on or before June 1, 2012 to remain effective and be awarded according to existing scholarship rules and procedures.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
