IL SB3398

Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934 to clarify restrictions on beer sales in pitchers and other vessels during happy hours.

Allows licensees to sell pitchers or other types of vessels containing no more than 150 ounces of beer, including buckets and similar containers, to 2 or more persons at one time.

Maintains existing prohibitions on happy hours, including limits on serving multiple drinks to one person, unlimited drinks for fixed prices, and reduced-price promotions designed to encourage alcohol consumption.

Permits exceptions for meal packages, hotel packages, private functions, room service, and increased drink prices to offset entertainment costs.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
