Amends Section 11-19.2-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code to require sanitation inspectors to cite specific code provisions allegedly violated and describe the circumstances constituting the violation, replacing the previous requirement to note only "the type and nature of the violation"

Amends Section 11-31.1-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code to require building inspectors to cite specific code provisions allegedly violated and describe the circumstances constituting the violation, replacing the previous requirement to note only "the type and nature of the violation"

Maintains existing procedures for serving violation notices on respondents, including options for personal service, first class mail, or posting on the property when ownership cannot be ascertained

Takes effect upon becoming law
