IL SB3435

Prohibits plowing or removing ice or snow from shopping centers, parking lots, commercial or institutional service areas, and driveways, then depositing it on public highways or highway shoulders and edges.

Exempts residential driveways and sidewalks from the general prohibition on snow and ice removal.

Restricts ice or snow plowed from residential driveways from being deposited on public highways if it creates a traffic safety hazard as determined by local or State police.

Classifies violations of these snow removal restrictions as petty offenses.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
