IL SB3444

Amends Section 11-9.1 of the Criminal Code of 1961 concerning sexual exploitation of children by making a technical grammatical change.

Removes duplicate word "the" in subsection (a) describing sexual exploitation in the presence or virtual presence of a child.

Maintains existing definitions and penalties for sexual exploitation offenses, including Class A misdemeanor for first offense and Class 4 felony for subsequent violations or aggravated circumstances.

Preserves enhanced penalties when victim is under 13 years old, offender has prior sex offense conviction, or offense occurs within 500 feet of school grounds while children are present.
