Amends Section 3-8-1 of the Unified Code of Corrections concerning receiving procedures for committed persons and persons transferred under Section 3-10-11.

Makes a technical change by replacing "The" with "The" (underlined) at the beginning of subsection (a), correcting the grammar in the receiving procedures section.

Maintains existing requirements that the Department establish receiving stations and that sheriffs deliver committed persons to the nearest receiving station along with required documentation and personal property records.

Preserves requirements that the Department verify identity before accepting custody and inventory all money and personal property delivered with the person.
