SB3485 Summary

• Requires the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to establish new annual payment rates for Intermediate Care for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD) and Long Term Care for Under Age 22 facilities licensed under the ID/DD Community Care Act, effective July 1, 2012 and each subsequent year.

• Payment rates shall be prospectively determined based on historical, financial, and statistical data from the most recent fiscal year 2011 cost reports filed with the department, adjusted for inflation annually.

• Capital costs for newly constructed facilities shall be based on projected budgets rather than historical cost data.

• Effective immediately upon becoming law.
