Permits students in grades 9-12 to be transported in multi-function school activity buses (MFSABs) for curriculum-related activities, excluding regular home-to-school or school-to-home routes.

Requires MFSAB drivers to hold a valid school bus driver permit and comply with specified sections of the Illinois Vehicle Code (Sections 6-106.11, 6-106.12, 12-707.01, 13-101, and 13-109).

Maintains existing restrictions requiring students in grade 12 and below to be transported only in school buses or vehicles with capacity of 10-15 persons for non-curriculum interscholastic and school-sponsored activities.

Allows school districts to claim a 20% depreciation allowance over 5 years for vehicles used to transport students under these provisions.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
