IL SB3488

Amends the Illinois Human Rights Act by adding Section 3-102.2 to prohibit discrimination in housing based on expunged, sealed, or impounded criminal records.

Makes it a civil rights violation to refuse to sell, rent, or otherwise deny a housing accommodation or dwelling to any buyer or renter due to arrest or criminal history record information ordered expunged, sealed, or impounded under the Criminal Identification Act.

Makes it a civil rights violation to alter the terms, conditions, or privileges of sale or rental of housing or related services based on expunged, sealed, or impounded arrest or criminal history records.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
