IL SB3490

Amends the Managed Care Reform and Patient Rights Act to add Section 30(c-5), which prohibits health care plans and their subcontractors from mandating that optometrists or ophthalmologists participate in vision plans as a condition of participating in health care plans.

Prevents health care plans from using contract, written policy, procedure, or other means to require eye care providers to accept vision plan payments in order to maintain health care plan participation.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
