IL SB3502

Allows licensed vehicle dealers operating 2 or more established places of business within a 20-minute radius of each other to consolidate original ownership documents (titles, certificates, invoices, bills of sale) at a single location instead of maintaining them at each location.

Requires dealers to keep copies of all ownership documents at each location where vehicles or essential parts are held for resale.

Applies to dealers licensed under sections 5-101, 5-101.1, 5-102, 5-301, or 5-302 of the Illinois Vehicle Code.

Does not change existing record-keeping requirements; only permits centralized storage of original documents with copies maintained at each business location.
