IL SB3505

Amends Illinois Vehicle Code Section 15-111 to establish weight limits for vehicles with pneumatic tires, including single axles (20,000 lbs), tandem axles (34,000 lbs), and combinations using a bridge formula.

Adds exception (7.5) allowing 3-axle rear discharge truck mixers registered as Special Hauling Vehicles and used exclusively for transporting plastic concrete to carry up to 22,000 pounds on single axles and 40,000 pounds on tandem axles, exempt from bridge formula.

Adds exception (8.5) allowing 3-axle trucks used exclusively for transporting non-hazardous solid waste, manufactured before 2014 and registered before January 1, 2015, to carry 22,000 pounds on single axles, 40,000 pounds on tandem axles, and 54,000 pounds gross weight.

Removes manufacturing date restriction from exception (9) for 4-axle truck mixers used for transporting plastic concrete, allowing them maximum weights of 20,000 pounds on single axles and 36,000 pounds on certain axle series.

Modifies exception (10) regarding Special Hauling Vehicle combinations to require 18 feet 6 inches minimum distance between tandem axle sets for vehicles manufactured after the bill's effective date, and restricts cargo container replacements after December 31, 2014 to standard bridge formula limits.
