Requires candidates to file either a certified copy of their birth certificate or other reliable proof of citizenship with their petition for nomination under three election code sections (7-10.4, 8-8.2, and 10-5.2).

Permits election authorities to allow public visual inspection of the birth certificate or citizenship proof at the local election authority office but prohibits releasing copies for duplication, transmission, or any other purpose.

Allows candidates to redact the maiden name of their mother and any social security numbers from the submitted birth certificate or citizenship proof document.
