IL SB3716

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections Section 3-6-3 to make a technical change regarding rules and regulations for early release on account of good conduct for persons committed to the Department of Corrections.

Removes redundant language by striking one instance of "shall" in subsection (a)(1) while retaining another, clarifying that the Department of Corrections shall prescribe rules and regulations for early release based on good conduct.

The change is purely technical and does not alter the substantive provisions governing good conduct credit accumulation, eligibility restrictions for specific offenses, or the Prisoner Review Board's oversight authority.
