IL SB3768

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to change restrictions on imposing periodic imprisonment sentences in combination with regular imprisonment sentences.

Replaces the 90-day limit with a new standard: courts cannot impose periodic imprisonment if the combined sentence would exceed the maximum periodic imprisonment term permitted for that offense under the law.

Maintains existing periodic imprisonment sentence lengths: 3-4 years for Class 1 felonies, 18-30 months for Class 2 felonies, and up to 18 months for other offenses (or the longest possible sentence, whichever is less).

Takes effect immediately upon passage.
