Illinois Health Benefits Exchange Legislative Study Committee shall study utilizing a health benefits exchange to provide retiree health benefits for Medicare eligible former State employees

Study committee shall hold subject-matter hearings and prepare a written report to be presented to the General Assembly on or before December 31, 2012

Health benefits exchanges are identified as a cost-effective way to provide individuals greater access to health insurance coverage options under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

Suitable copies of the resolution shall be delivered to General Assembly members, the Governor, Director of Office of Management and Budget, Director of Health and Family Services, and Director of Central Management Services
