Designates Ramadan (the 9th month of the Islamic lunar calendar) as a "Green Month" in Illinois to promote environmental awareness within faith communities.

Recognizes the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (a federation of more than 60 community organizations, mosques, and schools) for its leadership in raising awareness about environmental issues.

Encourages reduction of carbon production, recycling, water conservation, and reduced consumption during Ramadan and beyond within the Muslim community.

References the Council's 2009 Green Ramadan campaign that promoted environmental responsibility and pledges to designate Ramadan annually as a Green Month going forward.
